Cool for School
Cool for School is a specialised programme run in our Preschool for children nearing school age.
This programme aims to provide children with the skills and confidence to ensure a successful transition to school. These small group sessions focus on literacy, numeracy, social skills, fostering independence and a love of learning through fun and exploration.
Our learning objectives include letter recognition and knowledge of the alphabet, spelling and writing your own name, number recognition, shapes, colours, exploring books and developing a greater level of understanding and comprehension of literacy and numeracy.
To enhance learning and boost communication between home and preschool, there is a fortnightly newsletter to communicate learning intentions, so everyone is aware of our focus and learning opportunities can be extended at home.
